St. Charles Elementary Program is focused on the development of the whole person. The elementary team promotes high academic standards within a Christ-centered, spiritual environment. Academics and character education are all taught within the core values of Catholicism. Intellectually, our children are challenged at the elementary level through a variety of differentiated instruction. Our elementary children attend a special class, the Enrichment Room. During their time in the Enrichment Room, they use hands on materials to meet their learning needs, receive one-on-one instruction with their teacher, and cover a variety of subjects within one room. Based on our data, by utilizing this resource, children are able to make an academic gain of two years.
STEM instruction is incorporated into the classroom from a variety of science experiments, projects, and scientific observations.
St. Charles regularly implements activities to develop our children’s spiritual and moral values by attending weekly masses, service projects, adoration, daily prayer; children in grades 1-3 attending weekly Atrium classes that allows students to have a hands on experience of the Mass and deepen their understanding of God’s love. The students are physically strengthened attending bi-weekly P.E classes, participating in bi-weekly music classes, and have the ability to join athletic teams that are in season. The focus of the St. Charles Elementary staff is to ensure that a well rounded education is being provided emphasizing Catholic ideals of academic excellence, personal/mental growth, and working on becoming future saints.
